The National Surprise 2012 took place at SRVA Annecy from the 4th of August to the 8th of May.

Between changing weather conditions, hail and a few races canceled, a nice wind showed it up on Monday to allow to the competitors to race some good races.

Unfortunately, I do not see enough my granny. So, when I have seen her during the last end of year’s celebrations, I made a quick portrait.

Granny

I have used again this fantastic portrait lens: the 85mm.

A quick portrait made during an afternoon at home with friends. This is a portrait of Jean-Marc. Thanks to Arnaud to have been such a good assistant.

Jean-Marc

technically, I have used a 85mm opened at 1.4 (that explains the shallow depth of field). Regarding the lighting, I have used a Lastolite Ezybox softbox in front of Jean-Marc, above is head, turned at 45° (turned to his face).

With the birth of my son Thomas (Monday, August the 30th, 2010), I have started a personal project titled “Thomas, day by day”.

I do (at least) a photo of Thomas each day for a year, varying the possible styles and moods. Every Wednesday I publish on this blog 7 photos of Thomas covering the week.

Photos of Week 53.

This is the last weekly post for this personal project. My little Thomas has just turned 1 year old. Only two photos are published today because this is the end of this personal project.

Which photo do you like the most this week ?
